Check-out at any other time apart from the designated arrangement of 10AM on the morning of the last day without prior mutual consent, you will be liable for a call-out charge of €50, per hour. A LITTLE HISTORY…
Baixa is an elegant neighborhood, built after the earthquake of 1755. It owes its name (Pombalina) to Sebastião José de Carvalho e Melo, first marquess of Pombal, Prime Minister of Joseph I of Portugal from 1750 to 1777 and eminent figure Portuguese Enlightenment, which led the reconstruction of Lisbon after the earthquake of 1755.
La Baixa is one of the earliest examples of anti-seismic construction whose main characteristics are, for example, the "pombaline cage", a symmetrical latticework made of oak wood whose purpose is to distribute seismic forces.
